Crews searching for man who possibly drowned at Flaming Gorge

UPDATE: The body of the unidentified man has been found.

DAGGETT COUNTY, Utah — Search and rescue crews are looking for a man who went underwater and has not resurfaced at Flaming Gorge Reservoir.

According to Daggett County Sheriff Erik Baily, the 35-year-old man was boating with friends near Horsehoe Canyon at approximately 3:15 pm Saturday. At some point, the man went underwater and did not resurface.

Five teams have been searching in the waters since 4:40 p.m. with remotely operated vehicles assisting.

Search and rescue crews are expected to search throughout Saturday night, according to Baily.
