State troopers locate missing Taylorsville man

UPDATE: Taylorsville police say state troopers located Richard Pettley Friday morning near the Salt Lake Community College campus down the road from his home.
Police say Pettley was found in good condition.

TAYLORSVILLE, Utah — Police have issued a Silver Alert for Richard Pettley, a 74-year-old Taylorsville man who was last seen walking away from his residence near 2300 W. 4650 South at 5 p.m. Thursday.
Officials with the Taylorsville Police Department said Pettley is in the advanced stages of Alzheimer’s, does not know his name and has several other conditions that require medication.
Pettley was last seen wearing a black jacket with blue sleeves, dark-colored blue jeans and a white ball cap with an eagle on it.
He is described as being 5-foot-8, weighing 160 pounds, blue eyes and bald.
