5-year-old in critical condition after being hit by truck

ROY, Utah — A 5-year-old is in critical condition after he was hit by a truck while riding his bike.
According to Sgt. Matt Gwyn with the Roy City Police Department, officers were dispatched to 2675 W. 4400 South just after 6 p.m. Wednesday where they found the child.
The child was taken to Intermountain McKay Dee Hospital and then flown from there to Primary Children’s Hospital.
Gwyn said the driver was cooperative and the crash is under investigation, though impairment is not believed to be a factor at this point.
“We look into all of those factors in any accident like this so it is still under investigation at this point,” Jared Smith with the Roy City Police Department said.
