FARMINGTON, Utah — A Utah man allegedly assaulted another man with a golf club for taking too much time on the course Saturday, according to police.
Davis Robles, 61, was booked into the Davis County Jail for aggravated assault and disorderly conduct of fighting, violent, and tumultuous behavior, according to arrest documents.
On Saturday evening, the male victim told police that he and Robles had a dispute about who was taking too much time on the golf course and golf balls on Hill Air Force Base Golf Course.
A witness showed police video of Robles shouting at the victim as he pulled up in a golf cart, according to arrest documents.
“The video then showed (Robles) exit the golf cart, go up to the alleged victim and then shove him,” reads arrest documents.
In the video, the victim attempted to use a putter to make space between him and Robles, but the suspect was able to grab him.
“They both then fell to the ground where the victim was face down and put his arms over his head,” reads arrest documents. “(Robles) is seen in the video hitting the alleged victim five times about the head, neck, and upper shoulders.”
Robles was pulled off the victim by a group, but as he moved back, he kicked the victim in the face and the neck.
The victim told police it was hard for him to close his mouth and felt like his jaw was displaced, according to arrest documents. Police noted the victim had a cut on his face next to his right eye, and the right side of his face was slightly swollen and red.
