Man arrested after another man stabbed in Pioneer Park

UPDATE: A 49-year-old man has been arrested after he allegedly stabbed a 65-year-old man in Pioneer Park.
The investigation began at 12:16 p.m. Wednesday after SLC911 received multiple calls about a man who had been stabbed in the park.
When officers responded to the scene, they found a victim with at least one stab wound.
Officials with the Salt Lake City Police Department said the man was provided care on scene and then was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers then located the suspect, identified as Nathaniel Woody, and safely took him into custody nearby.
“Based on the preliminary investigation, officers believe Woody and the victim got into a fight which led to the stabbing,” read a Wednesday afternoon press release from the Salt Lake City Police Department.
Woody has been booked into the Salt Lake County Metro Jail on one count of aggravated assault.

SALT LAKE CITY — A suspect is in custody following a stabbing at Pioneer Park.
Officials with the Salt Lake City Police Department said one person was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
At 1:03 p.m. Wednesday, police said the scene was secure, adding that they are investigating the incident.
