SANDY, Utah — One person is behind bars after police say the individual broke into three different vehicles in Sandy.

According to a Facebook post from the Sandy City Police Department, a citizen called police after witnessing someone “force entry into the 3 vehicles by breaking windows.”

“The witness provided Police with the suspect vehicle description including the license plate,” the post stated.

Officers then ran the plate and responded to the suspect’s home.

Police said responding officers “saw the suspect unloading property from the reported vehicle.”

The suspect was taken into custody and booked into jail.
