SALT LAKE CITY — A 19-year-old man was arrested Thursday after he allegedly took a girl back to his dorm room after drinking alcohol and sexually abused her.
Alec Ryan Furshman was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail for kidnapping, drinking underage, and forcible sexual abuse.
According to arresting documents, Furshman was drinking with a group of friends when he left and went back to his dorm with the victim.
She told police he “forcibly kissed her” and fondled her. She also said Furshman pinned her to the bed and would not let her leave the dorm room.
Documents state Furshman kept the victim in his room, even though she tried to leave several times “and made it clear she was not interested in anything sexual.”
Finally, the victim was able to leave, according to police, after she agreed to come back to him later.
The age of the victim was not immediately available.
