South Salt Lake police looking to identify aggravated robbery suspect

SOUTH SALT LAKE, Utah — Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect in an aggravated robbery at American Title Loans in South Salt Lake.
The crime occurred at 3355 S. State Street at approximately 3:30 p.m. Saturday.
According to a press release from the South Salt Lake Police Department, a man entered the store and threatened the employee with a handgun that was concealed in his waistband while demanding cash from the store.
Following the aggravated robbery, police say he took off, heading east.
The suspect is described as 35 to 55 years old, approximately 6 feet tall and 220 pounds.
Police said he was wearing a Utah Jazz ball cap, COVID mask, gloves, and a high visibility construction company jacket with a unique triangle shaped symbol on the back with the word “SAFETY NOBODY GETS HURT” written on it.
“Detectives are seeking information on the identity of the male suspect and the name of the company on the male suspect’s high visibility jacket,” the release stated.
