NOV. 11 UPDATE: Two teens who had been missing since last Friday have been safely located, according to Sgt. Spencer Cannon with the Utah County Sheriff’s Office.
Original story continues below.
SPANISH FORK, Utah — Spanish Fork police are concerned about the safety of two teens who have been missing since late Friday night. A third teen that was thought to be with Katiana Peterson and Elijah Seeley has been found.
Katiana Peterson, 14, and Elijah Seeley, 13, are believed to be together.
The Utah County Sheriff’s Office says the missing kids from Spanish Fork are runaways that may be in the company of someone named “Victor.” The teens may be either in Payson or Salt Lake City, Idaho, or en route to Mexico.
Most of the concern arises because of the age of the children, said Sgt. Spencer Cannon with the Utah County Sheriff’s Office.
“Thirteen- or 14-year-old kids are going to look vulnerable,” Cannon said. “Somebody might take advantage of that, and that can be very, very dangerous for (the kids).”
“There’s a lot of reasons we want to get them back home here, find out where they are, and make sure that they’re safe.”
