Park City Mountain announces opening

PARK CITY, Utah — Park City Mountain announced its planned opening for Nov. 16, the earliest the mountain has opened since 1996.
The opening date is two days earlier than the initial opening date. Lifts and slopes will be open at both the Canyons Village base areas and the Mountain Village.
The release from the resort states, “Park City’s mountain operations teams have been making the
most of cold temperatures and the first major snowstorms of the season since October 23. Their
work, combined with over 81 inches of natural snowfall from recent storms, is allowing for a highly
anticipated early start to winter.”
“When it comes to skiing and riding, we know every day on the mountain counts, and we are excited to welcome guests back earlier than planned for the 2022/23 winter season,” Deirdra Walsh, Vice President and COO of Park City Mountain said. “I am so grateful to the entire Park City Mountain team who has shown incredible passion, commitment and hard work leading into the season.”
Early season slopes can be accessed from following lifts, starting at 9:00 am:
• Mountain Village: Payday Express, First Time
• Canyons Village: Red Pine Gondola, Saddleback Express, and Over and Out
o The Cabriolet will also be running beginning at 7:00 am daily.
Snowmaking operations will continue and the weather will be monitored to expand terrain offerings in the coming weeks.
Guests will enjoy a fun opening day at both Mountain Village and Canyons Village with DJs with DJs at both base areas and morning treats for early arrivers.
Parking reservations for the resort will not be required on Nov 16-17, but will be required Nov. 18 through the end of the season.
