Police: One dead, suspect in custody after shooting in St. George

ST. GEORGE, Utah — Police say a man was shot and killed following a domestic violence incident in southern Utah.
Officials with the St. George Police Department said officers responded to 740 N. 1100 West around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday after receiving reports of a man threatening several people with a firearm.
“Responding officers heard gunshots upon arrival and were able to take the male suspect safely into custody,” read a statement from St. George police.
Officers then located a second man deceased in the home. His identity had not been released by authorities.
Police say there are no other suspects and there is no threat to the community. Investigators were speaking with witnesses and additional victims Wednesday night.
