1 dead in 5-car crash in West Valley City

WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah — A driver is dead following a chain-reaction crash involving five cars.
The crash occurred at 3500 South and approximately 2400 West in West Valley City on Friday about 5:20 p.m., according to the West Valley City Police Department. The other involved parties have minor injuries.
Eastbound 3500 South is closed from 2200 West to 2400 West while police investigate the crash. Drivers are asked to avoid the area.
