Rally car legend Ken Block dies in snowmobile accident

WASATCH COUNTY, Utah — A 55-year-old man from Park City has died after a snowmobile accident in the Mill Hollow area of Wasatch County.
According to a Facebook post from the Wasatch County Sheriff’s Office, Kenneth Block was riding a snowmobile on a steep slope at approximately 2 p.m. Monday when the vehicle upended and landed on top of him.
Block was pronounced dead on scene.
Officials say he was riding with a group but was alone when the accident occurred.
His death was confirmed in a statement released on social media Monday night by his company, Hoonigan Industries:
It’s with our deepest regrets that we can confirm that Ken Block passed away in a snowmobile accident today.
Ken was a visionary, a pioneer and an icon. And most importantly, a father and husband.
He will be incredibly missed.

An official cause of death will be determined by the State Medical Examiner’s Office.
