UPDATE: Salt Lake City Public Utilities has confirmed there was a main break in a six-inch water pipe. Chloe Morroni with Public Utilities said 32 structures were impacted and without water.
Crews have been working and have successfully restored water to the area. They’re now working on repairing the road. The team working is unclear on the cause of the break, but knows that the main was installed in 1916.
SUGAR HOUSE, Utah — Video shows water shooting out of the ground in Sugar House at 600 E. and 2300 S.
The road at 600 E and 2300 S has apparently exploded resulting in an Old Faithful like geyser just west of Sugar House! @kslnewsradio pic.twitter.com/3QtisWRz7O

The person sharing the video joked the skyrocketing water was akin to “Old Faithful,” the famous geyser in Yellowstone.
KSL has reached out to the city about the water, but did not hear back.
It was not clear if there was significant damage as a result of the water leak.
