Woman flown to hospital after falling near Lake Blanch

BIG COTTONWOOD CANYON, Utah — A 50-year-old woman was flown to the hospital after falling in the Lake Blanch area Sunday morning, police say.

Unified police Det. Bennett told KSL the fall was a “not substantial fall,” but the woman sustained lacerations on her face that warranted the flight off the mountain.

Bennett said the woman is expected to survive from her injuries.
