Motorcyclist dies in Salt Lake County crash

WEST VALLEY CITY — A motorcyclist is dead following a crash on Interstate 215 in Salt Lake County.
State troopers say the motorcycle was entering northbound I-215 from 3500 South late Monday night when it left the roadway for an unknown reason.
The motorcyclist drove on loose dirt before overturning. Emergency crews responded, but the driver was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
On Thursday, Utah Highway Patrol identified the killed driver as James Boyd Barker, 60, of West Valley City.
