Lane closures on I-215 after excavator knocked off of trailer

WEST VALLEY CITY — According to the Utah Highway Patrol, two lanes of southbound Interstate 215 west will be closed for two hours after an excavator hit an overpass and was knocked off of its trailer.

UHP’s Quincey Breuer said that the excavator collided with the overpass at 2700 South. The incident took place shortly after 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
