One person killed in Uintah County crash early Tuesday morning

NAPLES, Uintah County — One person died following a one-vehicle crash early Tuesday morning in Uintah County, according to the Department of Public Safety.
According to a news release, the crash occurred on state Route 45 near milepost 33. The crash occurred seven miles south of Naples around 12:08 a.m.
A Dodge Ram truck was traveling down a hill in the southbound lane when the crash occurred.
The release further stated that the lone occupant inside the vehicle — a 41-year-old male — was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was not wearing a seat belt.
The northbound lane was blocked for a time early Tuesday for cleanup and investigation of the crash.
The cause of the crash was not provided.
