Shed on Gentile St. caught fire

LAYTON — A fire broke out in a remote area along 2800 W Gentile St. Thursday afternoon, according to officials.
Layton City Fire Department said at approximately 3:25 p.m., a resident was burning on their property.
Surrounding weeds caught fire, and flames spread through grass to some fencing and an abandoned shed, firefighters said.
Officials estimated the road could be closed for an hour.
