PARIS, FR — After not playing in both of the U.S. men’s 3×3 games, Thursday, Jimmer Fredette missed both games once again Friday with what USA Basketball is calling a lower-body injury.
The team had two more games Friday, and they must win if they want to keep any hopes alive of advancing. And, the team came through.
Canyon Barry scored the final seven points in a come-from-behind win over host country, France, 21-19.
And then he scored 14 points to help the U.S. beat China 21-17.
The win has the U.S. fifth in the standings, and the top six teams advance. There is one pool game left on Sunday against the Netherlands.
