Man in custody after allegedly pulling gun on construction worker

SALT LAKE CITY — A man was placed into custody Saturday afternoon after he allegedly pointed a firearm at a construction worker, according to the Salt Lake City Police Department.
Police said they received a 911 call from a construction worker that someone pointed a gun at them near 1440 S. Main St.
According to SLCPD, the construction worker saw a truck parked behind a construction site, where he reportedly saw a man in the car drinking from a beer can.
The suspect, Christian Gomez-Dominguez, allegedly pulled out a gun and pointed it at the construction worker, according to SLCPD.
Officers said they searched the area to find Gomez-Dominguez inside his parked pickup truck a block away.
During their investigation, officers said they recovered a handgun along with firearm accessories and opened beer cans.
According to police, Gomez-Dominguez was placed into custody at the Salt Lake County Metro Jail on multiple charges including being a restricted person in possession of a firearm, aggravated assault, impaired driving and not having a valid driver’s license.
