One Woman Killed In Eagle Mountain Crash

EAGLE MOUNTAIN, Utah – One woman was killed in a crash between an SUV and a semitrailer in Eagle Mountain.
The incident happened just after 2 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Sunset Drive and Cory B. Wride Memorial Highway (SR-73).
Police said the driver of the semitrailer was okay and the two drivers were the only occupants in their respective vehicles.
Eagle Mountain officials said Highway 73 was temporarily shut down to allow a medical helicopter to land.
The woman, 23-year-old Kayla Williamson from Idaho, was airlifted to Utah Valley Hospital in extremely critical condition Thursday.
Officials with the Utah County Sheriff’s Office said she died Friday.

Police said they believe distraction may have been a factor in the crash.
