Elberta Fire Estimated At Almost 2,000 Acres; US Hwy 6 Reopened

GOSHEN, Utah – Fire crews are responding to a new blaze that started Friday evening southwest of Goshen.
Officials with Utah Fire Info said the Elberta Fire was estimated to have burned almost 2,000 acres as of Saturday.

U.S. Highway 6 was closed in both directions at milepost 147 due to the fire, according to UDOT officials. It has since reopened.
Crews at the scene reported winds of 50+ mph on Friday.
