Holladay Man In Critical Condition After Being Stabbed In His Home

HOLLADAY, Utah — A 58-year-old man from Holladay is in critical condition after he was stabbed multiple times by a man who was doing housework for him.
The incident happened around 9 p.m. Saturday at 4635 Locust Lane.
Detective Kevin Mallory with the Unified Police Department said the victim met the suspect downtown and brought him over to help with some things around the house.
The two eventually got into an argument.
The Holladay man was stabbed multiple times in the chest, neck, and face. He was transported to the hospital in critical but stable condition.
Mallory said the suspect took off from the scene. He was described as a Hispanic male in his 20s/30s, wearing khaki shorts and no shirt.
Shortly before 6 p.m. Sunday, detectives said they had arrested the suspect. They also said he was being treated for undisclosed injuries in the hospital.
Additional information is expected to be released Monday.
