FARMINGTON, Utah – Americans across the country on Tuesday cast their ballots – and some of them even had the option to use drive-thru voting.
In Davis County, residents have been lining up since the polls opened at 7 a.m. to cast their ballots from the comfort of their vehicles. It was a busy morning at the drive-thru, as it was the only polling location in the county where residents could vote in person.

There was a steady flow of cars all morning at the Legacy Center, with most drivers pulling into the drive-thru polling location. Others drove into a much shorter line to drop off their mail-in ballots.
Davis County Clerk Curtis Koch said 99% of those who showed up Tuesday had chosen to request a ballot in person as opposed to dropping off their mail-in ballot.
Blake Hamer was one of thousands used the drive-thru option after he didn’t receive his ballot in the mail.
“(It’s) a lot smoother than standing in line,” he said.

The polls close at 8 p.m., and election officials said they’re expecting to see an increase in voters at the Legacy Center. They encouraged anyone with a mail-in ballot to bring it, drop it off, and avoid the long line.
