Double stabbing leaves two injured, one arrested in St. George

ST. GEORGE — Two people were stabbed in St. George late Friday night, and the suspect was arrested. The victims both had non-life-threatening injuries.
The St. George Police Department said officers responded to the stabbing in the area of 2000 West 1400 North at approximately 10:40 p.m.
“Upon arrival, officers discovered two victims with non-life-threatening injuries consistent with a stabbing,” the department said on Facebook.
Police identified the suspect as Elian De Jesus Arias Sierra, and said he was arrested on suspicion of two counts of attempted murder, aggravated assault, weapon possession, drug charges and intoxication.
“Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to contact the St. George Police Department at (435) 627-4300 referencing incident 2P000256. No matter how small, any information you have could benefit the investigation,” the department said.
