Hit and run sends elderly West Jordan man to the hospital

WEST JORDAN — An elderly man was involved in a hit and run incident Sunday night in West Jordan, according to the West Jordan Police Department.

According to the WJPD, the incident happened at the corner of 9000 S. Redwood Rd.

Sgt. Jordan Smith with WJPD said the vehicle tried to make a right-hand turn before hitting the elderly man who was crossing at the intersection.

The man was transported to the hospital, while police continued to look for the fleeing driver.
