SALT LAKE CITY — Citywide enforcement efforts conducted by the Salt Lake City Police Department resulted in the arrests of 22 people.
According to a press release from the SLCPD, the arrests occurred from Jan. 31 through Feb. 2.
Police said most of the arrests occurred on Feb. 1 but extended into two days due to the time of arrest and jail booking processing.
The arrests include people suspected of violent offenses, drug-related crimes, and property-related offenses, according to the SLCPD.
“This isn’t a one-time push,” Salt Lake City Police Chief Mike Brown said.
“This is the work our officers are doing—and have been doing—every single day of the year. Our officers are out enforcing the law and building stronger relationships with our community, and I’m proud of their work.”
Police also said the charges are only allegations, and all arrested people are presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
