SALT LAKE CITY — Officers used a spike strip to stop a fleeing car in Salt Lake City Friday night. Two were arrested after the car fled police, but a third passenger got away.
Officers with the Unified Police Department said police were looking for a stolen vehicle that fled from officers on Thursday. Unified Police said they received word the car had been involved in an aggravated assault with a gun.
Unified Police officers found the car at an apartment complex on Friday, but they weren’t able to confirm where. Police tried to stop the car and used a spike strip to puncture the tires. Officers didn’t pursue it, but detectives were able to trail the car and found it near 400 West North Temple.
