CLEARFIELD — Three Davis County schools went into secure protocol after an armed student fled from a fight Monday afternoon, Clearfield police say.
Clearfield police Assistant Chief Devin Rogers told KSL that a Clearfield High School resource officer was notified about a fight inside the school. During the fight, a 15-year-old student brandished a knife.
Rogers said the student fled from the school, causing Clearfield High School to be placed into secure protocol.
The student was found within 10 minutes and detained by police. Clearfield High School was shortly released from its secure status.
North Davis Junior High and South Clearfield Elementary were also placed into secure protocol, but only for about two minutes.
