PROVO, Utah – BYU basketball is in the mix for another five-star prospect.
Nate Ament, a 6-foot-9 wing in the 2025 class, trimmed down his recruitment to a Top 11.
BYU was among the Top 11 remaining schools for Ament.

Ament announced his Top 11 schools in a sponsored NIL post with a company called Fanstake.
BYU already has signed the No. 1 prospect AJ Dybantsa and four-star center Xavion Staton as part of their 2025 class. Dybantsa shared an edit of Ament’s Top 11 schools on his Instagram stories feed.
The two are teammates on Team USA’s Nike Hoop Summit team for 2025.
“I’ve actually talked with AJ (Dybantsa) since he committed,” Ament told On3. “You know, having me and AJ on the same team, two high-level wings, would be enticing for us to both grow as freshmen, pursuing our dreams of the NBA. So that would put them a little more into play for me since AJ committed.”
Ament is from Manassas, Virginia, and currently preps at the Highland School. Like Dybantsa, he’s projected as a potential high NBA draft pick in 2026.
The 247Sports Composite currently ranks him as the No. 4 overall prospect in the 2025 class.
BYU basketball assistant coach Brandon Dunson reportedly visited Ament back in September.
