SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — The Utah Jazz with another playoff home game Monday night coming off a big win Saturday. The Jazz are up in the series 2-1 against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Two big story lines have evolved from the Saturday home game: Ricky Rubio standing on his head in the playoffs and Utah’s loud fans.
Ricky Rubio’s triple double of 26 points, 10 assists and 11 rebounds didn’t just give the series lead, but it was also the first postseason triple-double in Jazz history since John Stockton’s triple-double on April 28, 2001 against Dallas.
Fans rocked Vivint Arena. It was hard to even hear the play-by-play commentators over the crowd roar. Rubio tweeting after the game “#JazzNation lit last night.” David Stockton, who grew up amongst basketball royalty wrote, “Vivint was as loud as ever last night!!!!! But that’s only one game… Think we can turn it up for Monday too????? #TakeNote.”
Tip-off is at 8:30pm Monday night. KSL is hosting a pre-party from 6:30-8:30pm outside the KSL Broadcast house, across the street from Vivint. Everyone is welcome. There will be free food and lots of fun.
