Driver dies in wreck after having a medical emergency, police say

WEST JORDAN — A driver died Sunday afternoon after experiencing a medical emergency and driving off the road, according to the West Jordan Police Department.
Det. Alondra Zavala with the WJPD said the accident happened northbound on Mountain View Corridor near 9000 S.
According to Zavala, the 66-year-old man was experiencing a medical emergency, which resulted in him veering off the road.
Zavala said the man was transported to the hospital but later succumbed to his injuries.
The northbound lane on Mountain View Corridor was blocked off for a few hours for investigation but has since been cleared.
There were no other vehicles or injuries involved.
