SALT LAKE CITY — The driver who hit a 5-year-old boy in Roy Wednesday went to visit him in the hospital Thursday evening.
“The driver who had ran over Bentley got in contact with me and asked to come visit Bentley and see how he was doing- he felt super bad about the whole situation,” said Jennifer Roberts, Bentley’s mother.
The driver and the company he works for bought Bentley a new bike with some new features.
“It makes motorcycle sounds, has a big flag on it, and the helmet lights up so he’s seen and that won’t happen again,” Jennifer said.
Jennifer said she asked the driver’s permission to share about his visit and he said, “you can share it, I don’t mind. I want the public to know that there are decent people out there and that an accident can bring two families together.”
