UPDATE: Search efforts continue Monday for 49-year-old Beau Riddle of Layton, Utah.
According to Anita Mortensen, public information specialist for the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office in Arizona, search and rescue crews are looking in the area near where Riddle’s truck was found on Sunday.
“The extreme heat and difficult terrain are not helping however and the area is very heavily concealed by thick vegetation,” she wrote in an email to KSL.
Mortensen said a helicopter was used Sunday, but the visibility was limited due to the thick brush.
“Upon initial investigation of Mr. Riddle’s vehicle, we do not suspect foul play at this time,” Mortensen stated.
Anyone with information about Riddle’s whereabouts has been asked to call the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office at 928-753-0753.

LAYTON, Utah — A Utah man is missing after a possible panic attack and turning off all forms of communication while traveling across Arizona.
According to the family’s spokesperson, 49-year-old Beau Riddle dropped off a work trailer in Littlefield, Arizona, on Thursday, a day before he went missing.
On Friday, Beau was on his way to drop off another trailer to Idaho when he called his employer and said he was having an anxiety attack. He said his truck was overheating while driving in the Arizona strip between Nevada and Utah.
His employer arranged a hotel for him and told Beau that another driver would pick up the trailer but lost contact with him around 4:47 p.m.
After the call, his phone was turned off and no one could reach him.
Beau’s employer called Arizona’s authorities to report the trailer that Beau was carrying was stolen. Riddle’s wife filed a missing person report with Layton police.
On Saturday, The Mohave County Sheriff’s office found the missing trailer, and on Sunday, they found Beau’s truck behind storage trailers about 200 yards away from Littlefield, Arizona.
The family’s spokesperson said that the truck was hidden, and the family expects foul play.
“I’m so worried about him,” said Kim Riddle, Beau’s wife. “It doesn’t make sense because he is such a perfectionist and always wants to take meticulous care of his vehicles and belongings. He must have been having a mental breakdown to leave the trailer and not tell anyone.”
Authorities are searching for Beau in the area they found his truck.
