SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Department of Corrections is celebrating the graduates of its Elevate program, a program within the Reentry and Rehabilitation Division that helps women on their journey toward lasting sobriety.
The UDC posted a video showing off the group’s stomp choreography, which is a tool used to help them channel their strength and focus.
The Elevate program is the only female residential substance abuse program offered by the Department of Corrections. It uses a community model and curriculum to help those enrolled. Like the stomp choreography, the program uses other activities to help channel their creativity and ultimately guide their sobriety journey.
