SPANISH FORK — Lucky 5, a Chinese restaurant in Spanish Fork, has reopened Thursday after a fire caused the business to close for a week.

The owner of Lucky 5 told KSL TV that they are thankful for the firefighters who quickly arrived at the restaurant after a fire started inside on Jan. 2.

“I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to the Spanish Fork City Fire Department for their incredible hard work and dedication in managing our recent fire incident. Your quick action and professionalism saved the day, and we are deeply thankful,” the owner said.

While the restaurant is going through renovations, the owner said they are accepting orders and asking guests to use the second door on the other side of the restaurant.

“Although renovations are still underway at the front of our restaurant, our team and contractors are working hard to restore and improve our space. WE ARE RE-OPEN now, and we can’t wait to see you all soon,” the owner said.

According to the Spanish Fork Fire Department, no one in the fire was hurt. Mapleton City Fire Department and Payson Fire & Rescue also responded to the fire.

Here is the full statement from the owner:
