Officer-involved critical incident leaves one dead in Davis County

SALT LAKE CITY — One person is dead following an officer-involved incident in West Point Monday evening.
Taylor West, Davis County Sheriff’s chief deputy, said the incident occurred near 650 North 2300 W. in West Point. West said the person killed was not a police officer.
West also said there is no threat to the public.
The names of those involved had not been released at the time of publication.
