Parleys Canyon traffic halted because of grass, vehicle fire

UPDATED: Roads reopened around 2 p.m., according to Utah Highway Patrol.
Eastbound I-80 is now open to one lane.

SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah — Eastbound traffic on Interstate 80 in Parleys Canyon has shut down after a spreading fire Tuesday morning.
According to Utah Highway Patrol, crews expect eastbound I-80 to be closed for 2 hours and ask drivers to use an alternate route.
Officials have not provided a cause of the fire or any injuries.
