SALT LAKE CITY — Smoke from California and Oregon wildfires has hit Utah, dropping air quality to some of the worst conditions we’ve seen in a while.
Meteorologists said a cold front is moving across northern Utah, shifting south and east through the day Friday, and smoke will “increase markedly in concentration” behind the front.
KSL viewers reported “burning” smells and reduced visibility across the Wasatch Front. Authorities have also asked the public to avoid calling 911 to report the smoke — there are no active, large wildfires in Utah at this time.
