Police: West Valley City residents asked to shelter-in-place due to a ‘fugitive investigation’

WEST VALLEY CITY — A shelter-in-place order was issued Saturday night to residents near 4715 S. Arlington Park Drive.
A spokesperson with the US Marshall Office confirmed to KSL TV that there is an active investigation in West Valley City involving a wanted “fugitive.”
In a shelter-in-place order obtained by KSL TV, police are asking residents to stay inside and lock their doors and windows. The order said another notification would be sent out when it’s safe for residents.
Traffic cameras show police cars blocking off traffic at the intersection of 4715 S. 4800 West.
The spokesperson told KSL TV that police would be in the area most of the night.
According to the shelter-in-place order, if residents have any urgent questions, they can call the West Valley City Police Department at 801-840-4000.
