Rocky Mountain Power outage under investigation

SALT LAKE CITY — A power outage in Salt Lake City is under investigation, affecting more than 4,000 residents.
According to an X post from Rocky Mountain Power, the cause of the outage is unknown as crews continue to investigate.
Power is estimated to be restored by 3:30 p.m. At approximately 2:20 p.m., RMP reported that only 17 customers were still without power.

Several traffic lights along State Street have also been impacted by the outage. Salt Lake City Police Department posted to X, urging drivers to approach intersections slowly and to treat them as 4-way stops.
Several street lights are out along State Street in the impacted area, including 2100 S. State Street.
