Holbrook is one of the helping hands setting up to celebrate the milestone.
In a space where a lot of therapy and activities usually happen, the same space will hold party hats, goodie bags and photo ops on Wednesday.
To celebrate 100 Years of Shriners Children’s, staff will be celebrating with a birthday party along with the children they get to serve.
“And we’re gonna sing happy birthday… at Shriners Children’s, it’s amazing. Sometimes, you’re seeing kids and families on their worst day. But they’re so brave. And they’re coming in with smiles on their faces,” Holbrook said.
Over the last 100 years, Holbrook said they have moved spaces, pioneered different technologies and advancements in pediatric orthopedics, and have been able to help thousands on thousands of children every year.
Now, they turn the page into the next 100 years.
“Not just in medicine, but the lives that we continue to transform on a daily basis and how many more we can impact in the whole Intermountain region,” said Holbrook.
Raegan said they help children from all over. The Salt Lake location draws from a multi-state radius and helps children from Montana, Wyoming, Arizona, and other surrounding states.
