Snowboarder hospitalized after he was found unconscious at Brian Head Resort

SALT LAKE CITY — A snowboarder was flown from Brian Head Resort to the hospital Friday afternoon, after he was discovered unconscious on the slopes.
According to Brian Head ski patrol supervisor Jared Burton, the snowboarder was a 20-year-old man. He was found next to the Giant Steps Ski Lodge with no obvious injuries. Burton said he was not wearing a helmet and did not appear to have come with a group.
Ski patrol responded, and Burton said he was still barely conscious when Life Flight responded shortly after. He was flown to St. George Regional Hospital.
An update on the man’s possible injuries was not known.
