Traction Law lifted through both Cottonwood Canyons

SALT LAKE CITY — According to the Utah Department of Transportation, the Traction Law was lifted Sunday morning in both Big and Little Cottonwood Canyon.
In an X post from UDOT, the Traction Law was in effect through State Route 190 and State Route 210

The Traction Law was lifted based on current road conditions. However, UDOT said the lift is subject to change at any time and applies to both travel directions.
In the previous post, drivers were advised to check their vehicles are properly equipped when traveling up the canyons, by checking the tread on their tires or using tire chains.
