2 individuals with ‘serious injuries’ after rear-ending semitruck

TREMONTON — The driver and passenger of an SUV were taken to the hospital after rear-ending a semitruck Friday afternoon, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.

According to Sgt. Mike Gordon with the UHP, the incident occurred westbound on Interstate 84 near mile marker 34.

Gordan said the driver and passenger were transported to the nearby hospital by ambulance for serious injuries.
