Woman found dead after apparent drowning in Ogden Canyon

OGDEN CANYON, Utah — A woman was found dead Friday morning in the Ogden River Hot Springs, according to officials with the Weber County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies received a call around 4:30 a.m. after a man found the woman unresponsive.

He performed CPR until emergency crews arrived, a spokesman for the Weber County Sheriff’s Office said. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Deputies say they believe the woman’s death was an unattended drowning.
