SALT LAKE CITY — A woman is dead after she was hit by a truck Wednesday in Tooele, according to police.
The woman was identified Friday by Tooele police as 32-year-old Elizabethann Burns of Rosevelt.
Sgt. Colbey Bently with the Tooele Police Department said Burns was hit at approximately 10:15 p.m. near 450 S. Main Street. The Tooele City Police Department later said Burns had been “reported to be disorderly at a local business” before she was hit.
First responders attempted to save her life but she ultimately succumbed to her injuries, Bently said.
“Our initial investigation revealed that the pickup truck was traveling southbound. The female was not in a crosswalk at the time of the collision,” Tooele police said.
The driver of the truck is cooperating with investigators, who were still working out the cause of the crash as of Thursday afternoon.
