‘Hamilton,’ ‘To Kill a Mockingbird’ Among Shows Coming To Broadway At the Eccles

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – A show that took Salt Lake City by storm in 2018 will return to the Eccles Theater in time for Christmas.
“Hamilton: An American Musical” is among seven season offerings coming to Broadway at the Eccles in the 2020-21 season.
Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Pulitzer Prize-winning musical will have a monthlong run in Salt Lake City.
But that’s not the only show expected to draw a crowd during the 30th anniversary season.
The season subscriber lineup also includes “Mean Girls,” “The Band’s Visit,” “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,” “Ain’t Too Proud: The Life and Times of the Temptations,” “Jesus Christ Superstar,” and “To Kill a Mockingbird.”
Two classic musicals are also returning to Salt Lake City as season add-ons: “Chicago,” and “Les Misérables.”
“Thirty years after making it’s Salt Lake City debut on our very first season, ‘Les Miz’ is still Utah’s favorite musical,” said Bruce Granath, vice-president of the Mountain Region of Broadway Across America.
Season ticket holders can renew online starting today, by calling 801-355-5502, or by visiting the season ticket box office located at 610 E. South Temple, M-F 9am-5pm. The can also purchase tickets to “Chicago” and “Les Misérables” as soon as they renew their subscription.
Those wishing to become season subscribers may join the 2020-21 waitlist on the Broadway at the Eccles website. Those on the waitlist will get priority information when season tickets go on sale to the public.

“The Band’s Visit”

The story of an Egyptian police band that is accidentally sent to a small village in the middle of the Israeli desert after a mix-up at the border.
