Brianna Chavez
Brianna Chavez joined the KSL TV news team in July of 2023. She comes to the Beehive State after working for five years in her hometown of El Paso, Texas.
She started out as an associate producer at KVIA-TV, and worked her way up to become an anchor, traffic reporter and producer.
During her time there, El Paso was catapulted into the national spotlight when it became the target of a mass shooting and the epicenter for pandemic-related deaths and migration, and she helped to share the stories of those affected and memorialize the victims.
Brianna is a proud graduate of the University of Texas at El Paso. When she’s not out reporting, she enjoys watching rom-coms and documentaries, going for walks, and looking for great new spots to visit. She says she’s on the lookout for the best Mexican food Utah has to offer.
Brianna is also a big Houston sports fan but is looking forward to cheering on the Utah Jazz.
